Families say so, we say so and Dorset Tourism says so!
This family-run and family-loved farm park is an absolute must for visitors to the area with little ones under eight – book out more than one visit too, as once you’ve farmed ‘Palmer-style’ there’s one thing for sure – you’ll all be back!
Designed specifically for children eight years and under, it’s a fun day out that educates, stimulates, and exhausts! What more could you ask for apart
from great value for money?
The Palmer family’s attention to detail is evident everywhere from the barn, the Hen House, and the haystack – to the woodland walk, tractor rides, and animal feeding times. The whole day can be spent doing so many different activities whatever the weather.
There are cow milking demos, hands- on animal feeding and even pig racing – trot on! There are spacious indoor
and outdoor play areas; the children can meet the cows in their milking demonstration and wonder at the wildlife on the dreamy woodland walk.
Then shake it up a little – literally! Take a ride on the uniquely bumpy tractor-trailer ride – a giggly, jiggly trip around the farm!
As far as choice goes for entertainment in Dorset, the beaches are always a top attraction – but Farmer Palmer has thought of that too, so bring your togs and towels to the farm park’s sandy, wet and wild area.
The dedicated staff have a welcoming and professional way. Every one of them is friendly, approachable, and totally understanding of the needs
of parents with little ones, and they actually love what they do. And that is delivering ‘safe fun’ to hundreds of
families every year as they have done since 1998!
The Hen House Café serves traditional meals cooked on site and there are of course home-made cakes to be enjoyed inside or out. There are plenty of highchairs, baby changing facilities, and microwaves for bottles.
Farmer Palmer has thought of it all – this attraction deserves it’s Dorset Tourism accolade, and it’s only a matter of time before it’s a national one...
