Poole Accident Repair is one of the country’s first multi-material repair facilities – this is a workshop with a difference!
Swap the oily rags with micro fibre, swap cheeky calendars with premium marque logos, swap soiled overalls with pristine uniforms that wouldn’t be out of place in a boardroom and as a result, one can’t swap the steady flow of prestige vehicles through this immaculate and state-of-the-art 8,000 sq. ft. space!
This workshop repairs aluminium cars or those that are partially constructed with aluminium – such as Audi’s R8 and TT, the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Panamera and all Tesla vehicles along with composite vehicles including the Porsche 911 and VW Pheaton to name but a few.
The facility launched in May 2017, with an event that saw cars worth over £1 million on display in the 16 bays, some mid-repair – some for show to the crème de la crème of the automotive industry and insurance executives.
What we would usually say at this juncture is that guests enjoyed Champagne and canapés... in fact they could have enjoyed Champagne and canapés – off
the workshop floor as it happens as it is so surgically clean – but the truth is they enjoyed talking, to the highly qualified technicians and each other. They were
captivated by the technology that sets this operation apart from the others – this is the Harley Street for cars!
The development of this new facility is moving with and ahead of the times as car technology in terms of ‘build’ has changed so dramatically, it has to be ready for what is a rapidly expanding market in composite vehicles – these vehicles are lighter, more economical and cannot be repaired alongside traditional metals.
