Dining here is a foodie’s heaven, choose from fine dining, tapas, Thai, Italian, seafood, sushi, Mediterranean – snacks by the pool, Bloody Marys for breakfast, and names such as Nobu, Dani Garcia and the Monkey Club.
Let’s take a slice of what you can expect with two dinners and a lunch; Nobu – if you have dined in any of the Nobus around the planet you know what’s coming and you won’t be disappointed by the proposition in Spain. Enjoy the Japanese menu from the partially open and al fresco split-level restaurant – what did we enjoy? Firstly amazing company, a bottle of Sake, Edamame, spicy miso crisps, new-style sashimi (salmon and scallop), sushi maki (soft shell crab and salmon with avocado), Blackened cod of course and a long evening of tactile dining and impeccable service.
Drinks follow late into the warm night and a not so lazy morning of exploring the coastline to the east by way of a trade-off jog, thirsty work that is; so a cold beer halfway makes complete sense! +34 952 778 686
In between lunch and dinner – a bed by any one of the pool areas that punctuate the resort between the roadside reception and the beachfront – always good to have a choice of where to get wet, go on choose a different pool every day, just because you can!
Now reader take this advice and don’t have lunch on the Dani Garcia night – this two Michelin-starred chef, and Spanish national hero has turned a tasting menu into a new breed! Fifteen courses plus hor d’oeuvres, pure theatre, choreographed service and a visit into the surgically presented kitchens!
There are too many delicacies to mention, but they include detox gazpacho, grilled caviar with celery root, pil pil and shiso, dough fritter filled with tuna belly stew, roasted hare and aji amarillo.
Each course is brought to the table by a group of waiters who move in sync and disappear from the table without a sound... This is not an experience to rush – make an early reservation, take your time and savour every two-star mouthful!

Club calls... a table outside on the sunshine, overlooking the meandering paths and tropical gardens. This is a perfect reflection of what is so sexy about the Mediterranean; the cocktails are out of this world and the wine list a thoughtful and extensive collection of wines to suit the menu. Fresh seafood, flat breads, salads, pink cuts of beef and lamb and desserts to ensure that there is another run tomorrow morning!
